Internal Pelvic Release Work (IPRW)

IPRW is a way of approaching the pelvis via internal work to support the restoration of balance and health.

IPRW approaches the multiple tissues of the pelvis via intra-vaginal work; Using gentle explorative touch upon the muscles, bones, tendons and fascia of the inner pelvis.

IPRW touch is respectful, gentle and intentional.

Is Internal Pelvic Release Work for me?

Touch is the medicine our body craves.

IPRW is known to be supportive and effective in restoring wellness for bodies with the following:

  • Preconception care

  • Pregnancy

  • Postpartum care

  • Post surgery (LETZ, Cesarean, pregnancy termination)

  • Prolapse

  • Painful sex (superficial pain, deep pain)

  • Shock and trauma

  • Chronic pain and discomforts

  • Vaginismus

  • Vulvodynia

I feel nervous or unsure about doing IPRW but am still curious…

You can book a free 10 minute phone consult with Satima to discuss your intentions and questions before booking an IPRW session.

Closing Of The Bones - Ritual

Closing of the Bones is a traditional postpartum ritual offered to support a woman following birth. This deeply restorative practice originates from Indigenous cultures across Central and South America, where it has long been used to nurture the body, heart, and spirit in the transition into motherhood.

At a physical level, the practice involves gently wrapping and binding the body to encourage the bones, muscles, and organs to return toward balance after the profound expansion of pregnancy and birth. It offers a sense of containment, grounding, and integration.

Beyond the physical, Closing of the Bones honours the emotional, mental, and spiritual journey of birth as a significant rite of passage. It creates space to acknowledge what has been experienced, supporting a sense of completion — a closing of one chapter, and a gentle integration after the vast opening that birth can bring.

Particular care is given to the heart, womb, and pelvis, tending to these centres with presence and intention. Held within a respectful and ritualised setting, this practice offers an opportunity to soften, to be witnessed, and to gently “debrief” the experience of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum recovery.

It is a return — to self, to body, and to a sense of wholeness.

A woman’s healing is not something given to her — it is something she remembers.

It lives beneath the surface, in the quiet knowing of her body, in the places that have been silenced, and in the parts of her that have waited patiently to be felt again.

When she turns toward herself with honesty and devotion, she begins to gather what was scattered — her voice, her instinct, her rhythm.

And in that remembering, she does not become someone new.

She returns to who she has always been.
