A Woman’s Journey To Herself

Welcome to care that is; Intuitive, Traditional & Contemporary.

A woman carries within her a deep and ancient knowing.

It lives in her body, in her breath, in the quiet spaces where truth is felt rather than spoken.

For so long, she may have been taught to look outside of herself —
for answers, for direction, for permission.

But her healing begins the moment she turns inward.

The moment she listens.
The moment she softens.
The moment she remembers.

Because there is nothing she needs to become.

Only something she is ready to return to.

A rhythm.
A wisdom.
A way of being that has always been hers.

FemRites exists to honour that return —
to hold women as they move through the sacred thresholds of their lives,
and to remind them that they were never separate from their own knowing.

Founder of FemRites

My philosophy as a midwife and women’s health practitioner is rooted in a holistic approach to wellbeing.

I believe true wellness arises through the balance of mind, body, and spirit — and through care that honours the whole woman.

My practice is shaped by my identity as a multicultural woman, with South American Indigenous roots and a lineage of midwives, alongside an upbringing in the unique subculture of Byron Bay. This foundation is woven together with modern education and clinical experience, allowing me to offer care that is both intuitive and evidence-based, traditional and contemporary.

Satima is a registered Midwife with experience in rural remote and Continuity of Care Model Midwifery. Her studies began in 2017, in South America where she apprenticed and learned along-side Traditional Indigenous Midwives, Independent Midwives, leaders in “Midwifery in the Tradition” and Community Doulas. She later completed the Bachelor of Midwifery in Australia and consolidated her studies working in rural remote Australia in a Midwifery Group Practice, offering continuity of care to mothers and families.

Satima’s passion for learning susbequently led her to train with Midwife Jenny Blyth, where she completed her training in Internal Pelvic Release Work.
